  • Wrote 700-1,000 word blog posts related to cannabis products and researched the deep interweb for quality information (a lot of Reddit and random forums, with the occasional .edu and wiki page thrown in).
  • Crafted witty and creative 300-500 word product & brand descriptions to charm customers into purchasing e-commerce.
  • Gained a strong love of puns.

Marketing/ Communications/ PR Intern – The Gabriel Institute

  • Wrote a magazine article about the company’s new service and their funding campaign – unsure if this will see the light of day, but I do have a copy of it.
  • Strategized directly with senior leadership on social media and public relations every week.
  • Created copy for the company’s three different accounts on multiple social media platforms.

Copywriting Intern – The GREEN Program
January 2017 – April 2017

  • Learned that copywriting was a Job, with a capital “J” and if done right, it pays bills.
  • Conducted, transcribed, and compiled 7 interviews to gather content for the company’s 2 blog posts.
  • Developed and wrote a 1,700-word blog post about how students turned their GREEN Capstone projects into successful business ventures. (Plus another blog post that is stuck under piles of online work – unsure if it will see the light of day.)
  • Created Facebook posts and emails as part of their online outreach marketing campaign.
  • Edited 15+ page information packets for their two new programs in Japan and Thailand, as well as 3 other blog posts.
  • Researched information about Japan and Hawai’i’s history, geography, culture, and sustainability facts.

I graduated May 2018 with a B.A. in English and a 49-page paper for my Capstone in Creative Writing. (I’m very proud of it.)
